MANCHESTER,PALESTINOW.COM—Students across the UK have called on universities to end their complicity in Israeli apartheid. ‘Apartheid off Campus’ actions were held at over30universities this week.
Stop Arming Colonialism
The protests are part of the annual Israeli Apartheid Week,an international series ofeventsthat “seeks to raise awareness about Israel’s apartheid regime over the Palestinian people and build support for the growingBoycott, Divestment and Sanctions(BDS) movement.”
Israel is currently militarilyoccupyingthe West Bank and East Jerusalem, maintaining asiegeof the Gaza Strip anddenying equal rightsto its Palestinian citizens.
Israeli Apartheid Week is now in its15th year.The theme of the event this year is #StopArmingColonialism.
