We, the undersigned Palestinian and Arab academics, journalists and intellectuals are hereby stating our views regarding the definition of antisemitism by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA), and the way this definition has been applied, interpreted and deployed in several countries of Europe and North America.

In recent years, the fight against antisemitism has been increasingly instrumentalised by the Israeli government and its supporters in an effort to delegitimise the Palestinian cause and silence defenders of Palestinian rights. Diverting the necessary struggle against antisemitism to serve such an agenda threatens to debase this struggle and hence to discredit and weaken it.

Antisemitism must be debunked and combated. Regardless of pretence, no expression of hatred for Jews as Jews should be tolerated anywhere in the world.Antisemitismmanifests itself in sweeping generalisations and stereotypes about Jews, regarding power and money in particular, along with conspiracy theories and Holocaust denial. Israeli forces and settlers slam anti-settlement rally in Salfit

Palestinian protesters clash today with Israeli soldiers and settlers during a protest against the expanding of Jewish settlements and the Israeli annexation plan, in the city of Salfit.

Local sources reported that Palestinian protestors burned the construction equipment that settlers had brought to build a new settlement outpost and a sheep pens on Salfit lands.

The area witnessed clashes between theprotestors and the occupation forces and settlers, including fist clashes between theprotestors and settlers who attacked journalists.

The Israeli occupation forces arrested a number of young men during the suppression of the protest, under the order of the armed settlers.

Settlers’ bulldozers began razing Palestinian lands in»Al-Ras» and «Al-Mahjar» areas, west of Salfit, on Sunday morning, which were estimated at 50 dunums.

According to local sources,the bulldozing operations werethreats by asettler leader to build a new settlement in the area leading to Ariel settlement established on the citizens’ lands.

Rights group: Israeli occupation killed 75 Palestinian children in Gaza since 2018

The Israeli occupation army has killed 75 Palestinian children and wounded 5,137 others in the Gaza Strip since January 2018, a human rights group has found.

In a report on the dangers facing Palestinian children and their basic rights in Gaza, the NGO pointed that at least 66 of the wounded children suffered long-term disabilities after the injury.

Three children died after being denied access to medical treatment by the Israeli occupation authorities, the report pointed out.

Over the past two years, Israeli occupation forces have abducted 70 Palestinian children from the Gaza Strip.

During their incarceration, the children were subjected to torture, ill-treatment, abuse, discrimination and negligence.

The report explained that the violations of children’s rights in the Gaza Strip are not limited to killing and shooting but include targeting parents, homes, schools, hospitals among other abuses that affect the children’s lives and their future.

Occupied Hebron (QNN)- An Israeli settler ran over a lady and two children at an Israeli military checkpoint near the Ibrahimi mosque in occupied Hebron.

Local and media sources said an illegal settler deliberately rammed a lady, who was accompanied by two children at the so-called Mafiaa military checkpoint near the Ibrahimi mosque.

The teacher Asmaa Salaimeh, who was accompanied by her daughter Sadeen (13 years old) and nephew Majd (5 years old), were all wounded in the attack.

The sources added that they were taken to Al Khalil Hospital they had medium wounds, while the Israeli army closed the area.

Israeli police arrests five Palestinians during repression of martyr’s funeral

Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- Israeli forces arrested five young men during the repression of the funeral of Noor Ishqir in occupied Jerusalem last night. The funeral had taken place amid strict measures imposed by the Israeli authorities.

Wadi Hilweh Information Center said Israeli forces repressed the funeral, throwing sound bombs at it near the neighborhood of Suwwaneh and prevented the participants from reaching the Mercy gate after arresting five of them.

The center noted that Israeli forces deployed in the streets leading to the cemetery of the Mercy and Al Asbat gates. Only 20 of the martyr’s family members were allowed to enter the cemetery after seeing their mobile phones.

Ten Palestinian prisoners suffer from cancer inside Israeli jails

Palestine (QNN)- The Palestinian Committee for Prisoners and Ex-prisoners Affairs has affirmed that two Palestinian prisoners have been diagnosed with cancer, raising the number of Palestinians who suffer from cancer inside Israeli prisons to 10.

The two prisoners are Nidal Abu Ahour and Imad Abu Ramouz.

The Committee stated that the detainee, Nidal Abu Ahour, 45, from Bethlehem, suffers from kidney cancer and was diagnosed with kidney failure more than ten years ago.

Imad Abu Ramouz, 46 years old, was also diagnosed with a cancerous tumor.

The committee appealed to international medical institutions and International Committee of the Red Cross to necessarily visit those prisoners and provide them with medical care, pointing out that medical negligence in the prisons is the reason behind the deterioration in their health.

Army Demolishes A Palestinian Home Near Bethlehem

Israeli soldiers demolished, Monday, a Palestinian home in the al-Khader town, south of Bethlehem, south of occupied Jerusalem in the West Bank.

Local activist Ahmad Salah said several army jeeps, and bulldozers, invaded the Um Rokba area, in the southern part of the town, and closed it, preventing the Palestinians from entering or leaving.

Salah added that the soldiers then proceeded to demolish a 200 square/meter home, owned by Mohammad Ya’coub Da’dou’, allegedly for being built without a permit from the Civil Administration Office, the administrative branch of Israel’s illegal occupation.

It is worth mentioning that the area is subject to frequent Israeli violations, including the demolition of many homes and structures, in addition to outstanding orders targeting many more.

Israeli colonists also repeatedly attack and uproot Palestinian lands in the same area, which is essential for Palestinian constructions due to population growth.
