From Palestine and South Africa to the Americas and Australia, settler-colonists [have] violently fought to prevent the indigenous people, that were colonised, from fighting for liberation.

This article explores Palestine’s right to self-determination under «Israel’s» illegal occupation. This paper seeks to demonstrate that since the Balfour Declaration that was issued by the British Government in 1917, there have been politically driven strategies deployed to gradually liquidate the Palestinian people. The indigenous people of Palestine have been faced with systematic persecution, apartheid policies and brutal occupation; as such, it is submitted that the Palestinian people must be able to exercise their right to self-determination. I will begin with a discussion on self-determination as a right before outlining the historical background of the «Israel»-Palestine issue, and the political allyship of each entity apart.

Israeli Soldiers Injure 435 Palestinians In Beita

Israeli soldiers injured, Friday, 435 Palestinians during protests against the illegal colonialist activities in three areas in Beita town, near the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Ahmad Jibril, the head of the Emergency Unit at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in Nablus, said the soldiers injured the 435 Palestinians inBeita, Beita Junction, andSbeih Mountain.

Jibril said that eight of the injured Palestinians were shot with live rounds and were rushed to Rafidia Hospital after suffering moderate wounds.

He added that 84 Palestinians were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets and 277 suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation in addition to 66 who suffered bruises and fractures after the soldiers attacked them with batons, while some of them suffered lacerations after falling while being chased by the army.

Tens of Palestinians took part in an anti-settlement and eviction demonstration in the neighbourhood of Sheikh Jarrah in occupied East Jerusalem,Anadolu Agencyreported on Friday.

AnAnadolu Agencyreporter disclosed that tens of Palestinians, including Arab Israeli MKs, gathered in Sheikh Jarrah and chanted against Israeli settlements and the forced evictions of Palestinian families.

According toAnadolu Agency, Israeli occupation forces stormed the area and violently dispersed the demonstration, noting that the Israeli troops confiscated Palestinian flags raised by the protesters.

For three months, Israel has prevented Palestinians and foreign activists from reaching Sheikh Jarrah to show solidarity with its Palestinian families threatened with eviction.

At least 270 Palestinians have been wounded in a violent Israeli crackdown on protests in the occupied West Bank on Friday, the Palestine Red Crescent Society announced.

SevenPalestinian protesters were wounded with live bullets, and 50 others were injured with rubber-coated metal bullets.

The others were either suffocated by tear gas or fell as they were chased by Israeli soldiers, suffering broken limbs.

Israeli occupation forces have killed four Palestinians, including two children, and wounded 1,090 others, including 141 children, during the previous 20 days, aUnited Nations (UN) reportrevealed on Saturday.

In the report, which covered the period between 8 and 28 July, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) stated that thePalestinians were killed and woundedin the occupied West Bank.

According to UNOCHA’s report, since the start of this year, Israeli occupation forces have killed 50 Palestinians, including 11 children, in the occupied West Bank.

During the same period, at least 11,232 other Palestinians have been wounded in the occupied West Bank, including 584 children.

Gaza post – Thousands of Palestinians took part on Friday in the funeral of mar.tyr Shawkat Awad ,(20), who was shot dead on Thursday by Israeli occupation forces in the town of Beit Ummar.

Clashes broke out with Israeli occupation forces that attacked mourners during the funeral.

Israel holds 1,000 cars for Gaza merchants in its ports

GAZA, (PIC) – Israel is holding 1,000 cars for Gazan auto dealers and the value of which is estimated at $40 million, as stated by Ismael Al-Nakhala, the head of the Vehicle Importers Association in Gaza, on Saturday.

Nakhala pointed out that there are more than a thousand cars held in Israeli ports, bought by Gaza merchants and Israel refuses to allow them access into the Strip.

He added that the dealers who bought the cars hope the border crossings would open soon so that the cars would be allowed entry, estimating the price of the cars at $40 million.

Nakhalah said that Gaza merchants have incurred heavy losses because they are forced to pay fees for the Israeli ports in return for parking those vehicles.

غالباً ما تخفي المواقف المبالغة برفع السقوف لتبرير السلبية دفاعاً عن ضفة سياسية يصعب تبنيها علناً، كمن يشترط لدعم موقف سورية بوجه العدوان المتكرر لجيش الاحتلال أن تقوم بالرد القاسي على كل مرة تتعرّض للعدوان، ويكون هو فعلياً بذلك يريد مساندة العدوان ولا يجرؤ، أو انه يدعم الجماعات الإرهابية المناوئة للدولة السورية، ويعلم ان احد اهداف الاعتداءات على الجيش السوري تخفيف الضغط على هذه الجماعات، لكنه يعبر عن دعمه لهذه الجماعات بهذه الطريقة التي تكمل أهداف العدوان، مَن يقول إنه مع مقاومة حزب الله شرط أن تبدأ من جنوب لبنان بتحرير فلسطين، تحت شعار ما قيمة السلاح والمقدسات تنتهك والقدس تهوّد والشعب الفلسطيني محاصر ويتعرّض كل يوم لعدوان جديد، وهو يرى بأم العين الجيوش العربية المصطفة بكل أسلحتها لا تكتفي بعدم تحريك ساكن لدعم فلسطين وشعبها، بل تنسّق مع الاحتلال، وتشارك في محاصرة الفلسطينيين وملاحقة المقاومين، ولا يأتي على سيرة هذه الجيوش بكلمة مركزاً…

Army Injures Many Palestinians In Kufur Qaddoum

Israeli soldiers injured, Friday, many Palestinians during the weekly procession in Kufur Qaddoum town, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia.

Morad Eshteiwi, the spokesperson of the Popular Committees against the Annexation Wall and colonies in Qalqilia, said dozens of soldiers invaded Kufur Qaddoum and took posts in abandoned buildings before the weekly procession started.

He added that the soldiers attacked the protesters with rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades, causing dozens to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.

The procession was attended by hundreds of Palestinians who marched carrying Palestinian flags and chanting for ending the illegal Israeli occupation and its colonialist activities, and the establishment of a contiguous Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

They also denounced the latest Israeli military escalation against the Palestinians, their homes, and lands, especially in occupied Jerusalem, Hebron, Nablus, and the Northern Plains.
