Η Le Monde διασύρει Μητσοτάκη: H στροφή του στον αυταρχισμό ανησυχεί τους Ευρωπαίους

Μετά το σημερινό δημοσίευμα του Guardian για την υπόθεση των παρακολουθήσεων, σειρά έχει η Le Monde, η οποία κάνει λόγο για «ελληνικό Watergate» που «αποδυναμώνει τον πρωθυπουργό Μητσοτάκη».

«Στις Βρυξέλλες, η εικόνα του Έλληνα ηγέτη, που παρουσιάστηκε κατά την εκλογή του ως φιλελεύθερου μεταρρυθμιστή, ικανού να οδηγήσει την Ελλάδα στην ανάπτυξη μετά από μια δεκαετία οικονομικής κρίσης, αμαυρώνεται. Η στροφή του προς τον αυταρχισμό προκαλεί ανησυχία στους διαδρόμους του Ευρωπαϊκού Κοινοβουλίου» αναφέρει το εν λόγω δημοσίευμα.

Επίσης, προσθέτει πως «η υπόθεση των υποκλοπών προστίθεται στις έρευνες για την παράνομη επαναπροώθηση μεταναστών από τις ελληνικές αρχές, τις επανειλημμένες επιθέσεις εναντίον δημοσιογράφων ή εργαζομένων σε ανθρωπιστικές οργανώσεις», ενώ κάνει λόγο και για «καταστολή της ελευθερίας έκφρασης στο κρατικό πρακτορείο ειδήσεων».

Συνεχίζονται τα δημοσιεύματα στον ξένο Τύπο σχετικά με την υπόθεση των παρακολουθήσεων, με τον Guardian να αναφέρεται στις τελευταίες εξελίξεις.

Αρχικά, το δημοσίευμα τονίζει πως η πρόταση του ΠΑΣΟΚ για σύσταση Εξεταστικής Επιτροπής για την υπόθεση υπερψηφίστηκε από όλη την αντιπολίτευση, την ώρα που πληθαίνουν και οι εκκλήσεις για περαιτέρω έρευνα από ευρωβουλευτές.

Ο Guardian επισημαίνει πως η κεντροδεξιά κυβέρνηση της Ελλάδας έχει δεχθεί πιέσεις τόσο από φιλελεύθερους όσο και από αριστερούς ευρωβουλευτές, οι οποίοι πιέζουν για πραγματοποίηση διερευνητικής αποστολής στην Ελλάδα.

Υπενθυμίζει μάλιστα πως οι αποκαλύψεις έχουν χαρακτηριστεί ως «η κορυφή του παγόβουνου» από την Sophie in ‘t Veld, Ολλανδή πολιτικό και εισηγήτρια στην Επιτροπή του Ευρωπαϊκού Κοινοβουλίου για τις παρακολουθήσεις (PEGA).

Σκάνδαλο παρακολουθήσεων: Συνέχεια από το «Politico» με Γεραπετρίτη

Συνέχεια στο σκάνδαλο των παρακολουθήσεων δίνει το «Politico», σχολιάζοντας τις δηλώσεις του υπουργού Επικρατείας, Γιώργου Γεραπετρίτη, ο οποίος είπε πως «απ’ ό,τι μπορώ να αντιληφθώ, δεν υπήρξε κανένα στοιχείο από την παρακολούθηση του κινητού του κ. Ανδρουλάκη, και για αυτό δεν υπήρξε λόγος να συνεχιστεί, ούτε να γνωρίσει το περιεχόμενό της κάποιος τρίτος».

Σε ανάρτησή του, τονίζει πως μολονότι η διάλυση της δημοκρατίας στην Ουγγαρία και την Πολωνία απασχολεί τα δικαστήρια και την Επιτροπή της ΕΕ, το γεγονός ότι η Ελλάδα, υπό τον πρωθυπουργό Κυριάκο Μητσοτάκη, διολισθαίνει επίσης όλο και περισσότερο προς την απολυταρχία και τον αυταρχισμό, φαίνεται να μην έχει ενοχλήσει σχεδόν κανέναν μέχρι στιγμής στις Βρυξέλλες , στο Βερολίνο και στο Παρίσι.

Israeli Soldiers, Colonizers, Injure Many Palestinians In Bethlehem

On Tuesday evening, Israeli soldiers and illegal colonizers injured many Palestinians in Kisan village, east of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank.

Nabil Obeyyat, the head of Kisan Village Council, said a group of paramilitary colonizers invaded the village and fired many live rounds randomly.

Obeyyat added that Israeli soldiers also invaded the village and fired gas bombs and concussion grenades at the Palestinians and their homes.

Medical sources said one man, Saleh Ahmad Obeyyat, was injured after the colonizers hurled stones at him before the Palestinian medics rushed him to a hospital.

The assailing colonizers also tried to invade many homes, especially on the outskirts of the village, and were intercepted by the Palestinians.

The Israeli army then imposed a tight siege on the village, preventing the Palestinians from entering or leaving it.

On Tuesday evening, Israeli soldiers injured many Palestinians in the al-Arroub refugee camp, north of Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

Media sources said the soldiers invaded the main entrance area of the refugee camp and closed it, leading to protests.

They added that the soldiers fired a few live rounds, gas bombs, and concussion grenades, causing many Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.

It is worth mentioning that the army has a permanent military roadblock at the main entrance of the refugee camp, and the soldiers are constantly deployed in and around that area, impeding the daily lives of the Palestinians.

The refugee camp is surrounded by the Efrat illegal colony to its north and Gush Etzion illegal colonialist block to its west and is repeatedly invaded and isolated by the Israeli occupation army.

On Wednesday morning, Israeli soldiers invaded Silwad town, east of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and shot a young man before abducting him along with two other Palestinians.

Many army jeeps invaded the town, leading to protests, before the soldiers fired live rounds, gas bombs, and concussion grenades, in addition to storming and ransacking homes.

The soldiers invaded homes and occupied rooftops to use as firing posts before surrounding a home.

Media sources said the soldiers shot Abdul-Rahman Abdullah Hamed, 24, with live fire in his legs in the surrounding home, before abducting him.

They added that the soldiers also abducted Abdul-Qader Hammad, 23, and Ezzeddin Issam Sobeh from the same building.

On Wednesday, Israeli soldiers abducted Palestinian and destroyed solar panels on a home in Ethna town, west of Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

Media sources said several army jeeps invaded the town before the soldiers stormed, ransacked a home, and abducted a young man, Mojahed Mohammad Abu Jheisha.

Rateb Jabour, the coordinator of the National Committees against the Annexation Wall and Colonies in Southern Hebron, said the soldiers invaded the Shu’ab al-Batem area and destroyed solar panels on the rooftop of a home owned by Osama Hamamda, near the main bypass road #60.

In Hebron, the soldiers invaded and searched several homes owned by Palestinians from Dandees and al-Atrash families.

On Wednesday, Israeli soldiers invaded the Sindas Mountain area in Hebron city, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, and destroyed a park.

Media sources said many army jeeps and heaving vehicles invaded the area before the soldiers stormed a park and confiscated tents, tables, chairs, and other supplies.

The sources added that the soldiers destroyed the park, demolishing its tents and sheds and uprooting its plans.

The sources added that the park is owned by Yosri al-Jamal, a journalist working for Reuters.

During the invasion, the soldiers surrounded and isolated the area to prevent the Palestinians from reaching it.

Gaza aid worker Mohammad al-Halabi sentenced to six more years in Israeli prisons

Jerusalem (QNN) – An Israeli occupation court has sentenced Mohammad al-Halabi, former head of operations at the World Vision in Gaza, to 12 years in prison on allegations of sending money to the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas.

Under the court ruling, Halabi would serve another six years in prison in addition to the six he has already spent in prison.

The court convicted al-Halabi in June on charges of sending millions of dollars to Hamas, which his lawyer and he have consistently denied.

Al-Halabi’s lawyer reiterated his claim of innocence following Tuesday’s sentencing.

“He says that he’s innocent, he did nothing and there is no evidence,” Maher Hanna said, adding that they would appeal the verdict to the Israeli Supreme Court.

World Vision said in a statement that the 12-year sentence was “deeply disappointing” and that it falls “in sharp contrast to the evidence and facts of the case”.
